25 Mar Boating Activity Amid COVID – 19
The Jacksonville Marine Association is currently advocating to keep access to our local waters open for individuals and families in ALL Northeast Florida counties to continue to enjoy during this health crisis, with our concern still being to stop the spread of COVID-19. This includes access to marinas and boat ramps. It becomes significantly harder to justify these facilities remain open, along with other small businesses such as our bait & tackle shops, when individuals ignore guidelines to keep gatherings limited to less than 10 people.
We URGE ALL residents and visitors to follow local, state and federal guidelines so that we may continue to enjoy our most precious resource in a safe manner. This means refraining from rafting up with other vessels on sandbars and congregating with people in groups of more than 10 people.
In violating these guidelines, people are putting even more jobs at risk and jeopardizing access for all. JUST DON’T DO IT!
Thank you,
